Can i swim when i am on my period?
i am going swimming on wednesday with a bunch of friends and that is suppose to be the last day for my period (according to my period app on my phone) usually the last day of my period is light and just that dark blood thingy is all that comes out but barley any. i refuse to use tampons (mostly because i am scared to so i will NOT even try again to use them cause i am still young) any ideas on what i should do? or wear? the darkest swimsuit that i have is (green light blue black and it looks like a snake skin design) and if i wear short shorts over it? (like workout shorts).. in the pool with my friends we usually jump on each other play around and wrap our legs around eachother and just have a lot of fun always moving around in every direction. so what should and shouldnt i do in the pool while im on my period? thank you so much(:
You could try wearing shorts but I don't think that will hide it all completely. Periods aren't always exact on time so it could finish a day early or a day late. The worst bit would be, not being in the pool, but climbing out where you're more likely to get trail marks down you legs (awful image, I know). I think you should let your friends know that it may not be a great day for you and you'd appreciate if they moved your fun day to the pool one day forward. But keep in mind you may be a couple days early or late so see how things go before you ask them. If you are comfortable enough with your friends you could even say that it's your "time of the month" and they'll be much more sympathetic.
