Do most piercing parlors use a piercing gun or needle when piercing the nose?
I live near huntington beach, california, so there are many piercing and tattoo parlors to choose from. I want to get my nose pierced with a gun, because there is less pain involved. I am also looking for sanitary conditions, such as the use of an autoclave. If there are no parlors that use the gun, i will settle for the needle. thank you 
NEEDLE, always, in a piercing shop. Guns are for amateurs in mall jewelry stores. Needles come in sterilized packs and NOT REUSED so autoclaving only applies to other tools like tweezers and other such implements. After autoclaving they should be packed in sterile envelopes
Always check the restroom. If it is spotless then you can be fairly well assured of a clean studio and people who care enough to use clean technique. Also - the area where any implements are placed whiole working on client should be covered with a sterile drape or other sanitary covering. Gloves should be used when touching you at all times, and changed if they leave the room. Gloves should always be put on freshly washed hands.
