What flavour to use for a winter wedding cake?
Hey all
My partner and I are planning a winter wedding for 2014. We have decided to go for warm colours on everything but the cake. We want gold's, creams, reds, greens for the actual theme. Mulled wine served to guests with carol singers welcoming them.

It is the 2nd cake down we are working towards, but instead of the branch, we're going to have a line of crystal snowflakes. With the cascading snowflake topper.
My question is, what type of flavours would best suit that look? I want something christmassy, but I fear chocolate wouldn't go with how the cake looks. Then I thought maybe a white chocolate sponge with a mint filling? Or does that sound totally aweful lol!
